Zuma was very grateful for Rocky repairing his windsurfboard. Zuma has shown to be very concerned and worried when Rocky gets wet, is about to get wet, or if he is missing. In the earlier seasons, Zuma and Rocky spent a lot of time together and several Paw Patrol fans thought of them as best friends with great moments in episodes like "Pups Save the Easter Egg Hunt", "Pups Save a Friend", and "Pups Save a Windsurfing Pig".Įven though they have strong differences with water, Zuma really bonded with Rocky for a while and always makes sure he doesn't get wet.

Much like all of the pups sans Chase, Zuma's movie uniform features sleeves, though unlike the others, his uniform covers his rear as well, much like the Air Rescue flight suits. He also features a visor without a frame. His helmet was also slimmed down, with twin spotlights fitted in front of the forehead. In PAW Patrol: The Movie, Zuma's standard uniform was given a visual redesign, his suit having armored plating with cyan lights, which are also present on his pup pack. His gear is a bright orange water helmet along with scuba gear on his back. His collar is dark blue and has a tag that's orange with a silver anchor symbol on it representing the sea. He has brown fur, floppy ears, and amber eyes. He sometimes speaks like a surfer and uses slang like "dude", fittingly for the water rescue pup. In " Sea Patrol: Pups Save a Windsurfer", it is revealed that he idolizes Hurricane Harrigan. He loses his confidence briefly, but later regains it as the episode resolves. In " Pups Save the Carnival", Zuma is shown to be upset because he is unable to win prizes in a carnival game. They're often shown to have a close friendship and they've been seen doing things together. Once, in " Pups Fall Festival", they even argued about who got to the elevator first. He has a competitive side he and Skye have a friendly rivalry at times, but it's all in good fun. He's shown to be rather good with ocean animals. He is playful and always ready to have a good laugh. He is always loyal and has an abundant liking for Ryder. He is relaxed and his own fears tend to be more subtle than the rest of the pups' phobias. Zuma is very laid-back and calm, though he's not as serious about duty as Chase. He is a happy, energetic beach puppy who loves to laugh and surf. Zuma is a playful, water-loving chocolate lab, and the team’s water rescue pup. Other characters who have been in Zuma's hovercraft are Ryder and Chase, Marshall (" Pups Leave Marshall Home Alone"), and Julius and Julia Goodway (" Pups' Adventures in Babysitting"). His vehicle is a kind of speedboat called a hovercraft. His main color is bright orange, given that he normally wears an orange helmet on duty, his jacket and pup-pack are orange as well.
